EFR Primary (CPR) & Secondary (First Aid) with AED

Emergency First response: is a worldwide recognized organization for educating and certifying people in CPR and First Aid. EFR is recognized by OSHA. This class is deisnged for non divers and covers all the required Emergency First Responder material and skills. This class is offered for lay people such as but not limtied to Teachers, families, employers and employees, lifeguards, child care workers and more.

Primary Care (CPR): teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise. Primary Care (CPR) skills taught in this course:

  • Scene Safety Assessment
  • Universal Precautions – Communicable Disease Protection, including barrier use Primary Assessment
  • Rescue BreathingCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Conscious and Unconscious Obstructed Airway Management
  • Serious Bleeding Management
  • Shock Management
  • Spinal Injury Management
  • AED Training and use

Secondary Care (First Aid): covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice.  Secondary Skills taught in this course:

  • Injury Assessment
  • Illness Assessment
  • Bandaging
  • Splinting for dislocations and fractures

Cost for Class:

Class cost is $90.00 per person. Discounts availble for families. The class cost covers use of manikins, AED trainer, certification card and instructor time.
